The CBM 16 is Like the CBM Plus/4, but with less ram and built in software. The machine is a cross between the C64 and the Plus/4. Since it wasn’t compatible with the software pool of the C64 and Vic 20, the people ignored this machine. The basic V3.5 was the same as the Plus/4, therefore some of the programs written for Plus/4 could run. The connections of the C16 differ drastically from other Commodore Computers. You had to buy different Joysticks and Datasette due to the new connections. The C16 was in fact sister machines to the C64. The C16 was made because commodore didn’t have a low priced machine were as companies like Sinclair had a good edge in the market.
